Weird Ass Outfits

One thing you notice walking around the streets of Sevilla is that lots of the kids are dressed like little mini freaks. Ok maybe thats a bit cruel - dressed like they are living in a different century. Mostly the parents look normal - they certainly don´t get around in this sort of get-up. Its a "look" that is quite popular here for kids and never ceases to amaze me what some parents make their kids wear. In the plazas (squares) where lots of kids play in the afternoons, if one runs past me I scream at them in english "Don´t let your parents dress you like that" They won´t understand me of course I am just hoping subconsciously they know what I mean - I am trying to save them. Here is a pic of a shop window showing some of the latest fashions. Yes thats right, that one on the left is for a BOY. Told you they look like freaks.

LOL! I, Sarita, vow never to dress my half-Spanish children in these crazy get-ups.

Tell me the boys outfit.. are they shorts or just long pants with the legs rolled up? would looks stupid if they where shorts cause the shirt is long sleeve ! Then again im no fashionista!

OK OK I´m gonna get some more pics out on the street cause they DO actually wear that shit on the street. Gio, those are indeed short pants with a long sleeve blouse - for boys. You´re eyes aren´t playing tricks on you. It would generally be teamed with a pastel pair of long wollen socks (up to the knees) with a matching pastel pair of leather lace up shoes. fyi Marcos hates it to - we would break up if he thought that was cool. :-)

Oh my gosh, I love this entry!!! I also find it hilarious that they match the children to each other AND to the mother! That is true freakdom! Also, imagine how bad it is to be the second of 2 sisters or 2 brothers and having to wear the matching outfit, then getting the bigger size as a hand-me-down! Yuck!
